Frequently asked questions
Who are Outsider showcases for?
Our showcases are open to female and male soccer players aged 16 to 24 who want to be seen by colleges and recruiting professionals.
How do I choose my showcase?
Our showcases are organized by level group so that players compete in an environment suited to their profile. When registering, each player chooses the showcase that matches their playing level. The criteria and information you need are listed for each event to help you pick the right group.
Do I need a particular level to take part?
Outsider runs several level groups so every player competes in a suitable environment. What matters is signing up for the group that matches your actual level.
Where do showcases take place?
Our showcases take place in France, with new dates and new cities announced regularly on our platform.
How does a showcase work?
Players take part in several game situations so they can show their game in real conditions. Every participant gets guaranteed playing time, including time in their own position. The games are filmed by our camera, so recruiters can follow them on site or remotely.
Who can watch the players?
College coaches and recruiting professionals can attend showcases on site or follow them remotely through our platform.
What information is on my profile?
Depending on what you provide, your profile can include your soccer background, your academic background, recruiting-related personal information and, for players who choose this add-on, physical data.
Is physical testing mandatory?
No. Physical testing is an optional add-on. Players who choose it can complete their profile with extra physical data.
How long does my profile stay available?
Your profile remains accessible for 12 months from the payment of your showcase registration, or 24 months if you have subscribed to the Outsider Pro Pack. Your visibility with universities does not stop when the event ends.
How do colleges find the right players?
Our platform combines technology, data and human expertise to connect players and colleges. Technology quickly identifies the profiles that match each college's criteria. Our team then plays a key role in supporting the conversations, understanding everyone's needs and making the right introductions. The goal is not to let an algorithm decide, but to put technology at the service of people and the right match.
Does attending a showcase guarantee a college offer?
No. Attending a showcase increases your visibility with recruiters, but no admission, offer or college opportunity can be guaranteed. Decisions depend in particular on the player's profile and each college's needs.
Can I attend more than one showcase?
Yes. Attending several events lets recruiters see you in different contexts and increases your visibility on the platform.
How much does a showcase cost?
The price of each showcase is shown directly on our website when you register. Any additional add-ons are also clearly presented before you sign up.

The NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA are three different American college sports systems, each with its own rules, levels and eligibility criteria. For players and families, it is not always easy to find your way. That is exactly where Outsider makes a difference: our experience of American college soccer lets us guide you through these paths and identify the ones that fit your profile and your plans.
Does Outsider choose the college for me?
No. Our role is to connect players with opportunities. We help you identify the colleges that could fit your profile, but the final choice belongs to the player and their family.
What is the Peace of Mind Support Pack?
The Peace of Mind Support Pack is for players admitted to a college in the United States. It supports them through the formalities needed before departure so they can approach this new stage with more peace of mind.
Pack detailsCan parents talk with Outsider?
Of course. We see families as an important part of the project. Our team is available to answer questions about showcases, college opportunities and every stage of the journey.
For parentsWho is behind Outsider?
Outsider was founded by Sarah Huchet, a professional player who has played in several countries and went through American college soccer herself. That experience is at the heart of the project: building a simpler, more transparent and more personal bridge between players and international opportunities.
About OutsiderWhat is the difference between a college in Mexico, Canada or the United States?
Each country offers a different environment, with its own college systems, competition formats, living conditions and athletic opportunities. The right choice depends above all on each player's profile and plans: playing level, academic goals, budget, language, preferred environment and medium-term ambitions. At Outsider, our goal is to help you understand these options and identify the programs that best match your profile and expectations. There is no single ideal path: there is the one that suits you.
